A workshop photo tour to the hidden highlights of the Mediterranean
This photo tour leads us to some of the few pearls of the Mediterranean that have been largely spared from mass tourism! The start and end point of our journey together is Naples, the capital of Campania, from where the night ferry takes us directly to the “Beacon of the Tyrrhenian Sea” and our first base station for the first few days: Stromboli! Here, of course, the permanently active volcano, the picturesque villages and dark beaches are on the program.
A boat trip to the trendy neighboring island of Panarea then takes us to Bronze Age ruins and a beautiful island panorama before we set off by hydrofoil to Lipari, our second base camp and main island of the archipelago. After the sleepy Stromboli we find a lively southern Italian village on a wonderfully diverse island, which we will circle around photographically in all its facets.
Before we start our last destination, we visit the lonely, remote and oldest of the Aeolian Islands, Filicudi, on a day trip. The last night we spend on the second active volcano of this trip and at the same time the namesake of this genus: Vulcano! At the end, our ferry trip leads back along the island chain back to Naples.
